We contacted the company just by looking on the website and wonderful reports they had already received.From the first contact we were treated with thoughtfulness and respect and that continued until the last wave goodbyes. The initial consultation explained everything in detail and in easy to understand terms. The work started at a date to suit us all and everyone was here on time to start. The groundwork done by Mark and his team was superb, the weather was awful wet cold winds blowing from the North Sea and rather than use a machine to take up all the excavated soil etc up quite a rise from the back of the house did it using wheelbarrows so not to damage the garden.The men hardly took a break and worked so hard now having to wheelbarrow all the hardcore etc back down again to the back of the property.After 5 gruelling days the prep was finished and the whole site left immaculate. Along came Tom who jet washed it all down ready for the resin to be laid the next day.Yet again polite ,considerate and did not take a break. Dan and the resin team (all 7 ) arrived on time and were thoughtful,helpful,polite and considerate and worked tirelessly until complete and everywhere left immaculate. I can only give this company and all the team my highest praise and would happily recommend it to anyone concerned. As a final note I would share that we already had had resin done years ago and the company disappeared off the face of the earth afterwards so we were wary but now know what it should be done like now by this wonderful company and their attention to detail. We found Buildadrive on line and were impressed by the photos and testimonials.
From the first visit from Andy to completion we were impressed by the professionalism of this company.
Initially we had planned to have a resin drive at the front and side of the house but then decided to have the patio and paths in the back garden replaced with Indian stone.
Living in a cul-de-sac with limited space, we had spoken to our neighbours about the proposed work. Feedback from our neighbours afterwards was that the Buildadrive team was courteous and accommodating, moving vehicles immediately to facilitate access.
Mark led the team and set the standard. They arrived early, worked hard and left the site safe and tidy every day. He kept us informed of every stage and dealt with a couple of unexpected drainage problems with good humour!
The whole process was well organised, materials arrived on time and debris was cleared without delay.

We recently had some work done by build a drive. They fully landscaped the back garden which included laying 2 patios and a path with Indian stone and replacing a broken down wall and rotten sleepers with new sleepers. The whole team were professional and the work they did is to the highest standard. The work was over looked by Chris at all stages and he made sure the work was to the highest standard. The whole work is guaranteed for 10 years which is not available with many companies.

Build a Drive have just completed the preparation for a resin drive and patio. This involved a ***t load of digging out, laying foundation and edging blocks, drain alterations and laying tarmac. It's not been an easy job as the weather's been a problem and there've been a couple of minor problems found as the job progressed (e.g. a question regarding a drain which ultimately came to nothing but did cause a delay). However in spite of all this, the team worked amazingly hard throughout, in the mud, rain and freezing cold. They were all courteous and kept me informed about progress. The level of professionalism was excellent as was the attention to detail. As a result of a pure (almost freak) accident there was some damage done to a PVC sill. The member of the team who'd done it spoke to me straightaway which I appreciated and it was replaced within 48 hours. No messing. So, a great team, a great result and I'd recommend Build a Drive!

Highly recommended. Everything about our dealings with Andy and his BuildADrive team was outstanding, from my initial enquiry to the very end of the job. Even the neighbours complimented the team on their friendly and pleasant nature.
Plus the wesbite is a breath of fresh air, with clear pricing and loads of detail to help guide your decisions. If only all businesses were as transparent as this!
We had a big area to deal with, which ran round 3 sides of the house and included old slabs, and compacted hardcore. Andy took time to explain the various options we had and when we settled on Pattern Imprinted Concrete, the price he quoted was very attractive indeed.
The preparatory work was done quickly and effectively, and with the minimum of inconvenience to us. The commitment to quality from Andy and his foreman Chris shone through, and when some of the details weren't up too his exacting standards, they worked with their team over a weekend (including Sunday) to get it right. That's faultless customer service and a testament to his commitment to quality.
The concrete was laid over a couple of days, again with minimum disruption to us - though the colouring process does great a lot of dust, so be aware.
Once the concrete was down, Andy's team were back three times over the next week to seal it, wash it down, and make the areas around the drive instantly useable. Finally, Andy was back a few days later to make the finishing touches and give the street a jetwash to get rid of any left-over muck.
All in all this was an amazing job, and we are really REALLY pleased with the results, and what we paid for it. I can't recommend Andy and his team highly enough.

We had quotes from several companies for our much wanted new drive. We required some grassed areas removing and a full dig out to lower the level of the drive enabling us to have a step up into the house. Our chosen surface was resin.

We had to wait for a site visit to prepare our estimate but it was worth it. The muddy access to our garage has been transformed into a super new driveway with a lovely resin-bound top surface. The surface is non-slip and the rain drains through it as advertised. The team worked on Saturdays to compensate for delays due to bad weather and they cleaned up afterwards. They completed the job for the estimated price and although a resin-bound drive is not a cheap option we are delighted with the result.

So impressed
We had just moved into our bungalow and decided we wanted the whole of the front, over 120sq metres block paving. As always we got 3 quotes. Build a Drive were not the cheapest but the way the company structure was explained by Mark the representative impressed us. We decided to go ahead immediately but had to wait a while because they were so busy. This was obviously a good sign. Day one, all materials turned up and the drive started. We had been shown samples and colours by Mark and were given a plan on how everything would proceed. The colours of the tumbled paving blocks beautifully matched the house. They had to dig up all the grass and start from scratch. It was exciting to see the drive taking shape. We were so impressed as to how things were going we decided to give them the job of completely re- designing our back garden. We now have a beautiful frontage to our home and a beautiful back garden which we can now enjoy this summer. We had been searching for a company to install a drive for some time and after a number of companies let us down and messed us about we were starting to feel we wouldn't find a company. Then totally by luck i came across a recommendation on Facebook for Build a Drive. Even though they are fairly local to us, we hadn't come across them before but i am so glad we did. Initially completing the instant quote online, within half an hour i received a courtesy call to discuss how they can assist me. We made an appointment for a few days later. Right from the start, we were met with professionalism, courtesy but most of all knowledge. We have no idea when it comes to things like this so having the trust in the company is imperative. We were advised what is the best plan and material to use for our needs, along with timeframes, costs and the process. On providing a formal quote a start date was received quicker than expected. I received regular calls from the office providing me with updates and what to expect running up to the start date along with all through the process. I didn't have to call to chase or follow up any queries once, that was a major plus for me following all the messing about with previous companies. On the first day the excavation of the area was completed, leveled and first base hardcore installed. I was surprised how much had been completed in a short timeframe. The next day was the edging for the drive and vehicle crossing ready for the first level of tarmac. The final process was the finish and top level of tarmac. Taking the advice to have a wider area and choose tarmac was the best decision we made. Our street is often met with lots of parked cars due to a school being close by, having the extra width enables us to park no matter where cars are parked. The tarmac is perfectly smooth and angled slightly for drainage which has definitely been put to the test over the last couple of weeks of heavy rain, no puddles and the rain just simple runs off the tarmac. Couldn't be happier with our drive, best decision we made to have Build a Drive complete it. Thanks to all the staff at Build a Drive! We 100% recommend them.

All through the process the buildadrive team were excellent from providing a timely, competitive quote to having the team on site and getting the work completed.

Small job completed very well.
Our existing block-paved drive adjoining a neighbour's at a slightly lower level was originally edged with timbers. After ten years, they had begun to rot and soften. I contacted Buildadrive, The decision was made to carefully remove the timbers and replace with vertical concrete slabs, making good the remaining gap with blocks to match the neighbours existing ones. A small but tricky job. The work was completed quickly and accurately, not disturbing my existing drive which was a worry. Everything was left clean & tidy by the workers. We're really happy with the standard of work. Cheers!

Buildadrive have just completed a patio and driveway in Indian Stone at my home and it looks terrific, very much enhancing the 'kerb appeal' of my property.
Throughout the build I have been impressed by the logistics of the operation which ensured that plant and materials were on site at the optimum time and also by the skill and diligence of Mark and his team. Despite the often appalling winter weather the team kept as close as possible to the project timeline and kept us informed at every stage. Overall an excellent job from a company that has been resourceful, obliging, competent, thorough and competitively priced.

After a lot of research this was the only company that presented itself as being honest, professional, hard working and this was borne out in the work that they carried out for us on our resin drive.
A fair quote was received and no deposit was required. The work was carried out to the specification planned and explained to us; the teams worked relentlessly with hardly a break and were friendly, polite and accommodating. We were not inconvenienced during the work and the finished drive looks stunning. When comparing it to similar drives in our area, there is no competition on quality and we would be more than happy to choose them for any future work.

We have just had a Italian Marble resin patio installed, it looks absolutely amazing, to say I am pleased with it is an understatement. Really pleased with my new driveway. Some of the companies who quoted for me said they couldn’t do Indian flagstones on driveways and tried to push for me to have a resin drive. So glad I didn’t go with that - the indian flagstones look great. The lads worked really hard, did a great job and I am really glad I chose them. We needed a sinking 70s driveway and lawned area digging up and turned into a large parking area with borders for planting. Build a drive were very competitive with their price but it was their attention to detail and 10 year guarantee that swung it for me. They said it would take 4 days and I was highly sceptical at this; it was a big job. Mark the builder was fantastic and I have never seen someone work so hard - he had the whole job done from start to finish in 2.5 days! We couldn't believe it. The aftercare customer service has been great too. They even sent someone to wash down the pavements. I highly recommend this company.

Whilst I haven’t purchased any resin, I contacted these guys for Quartz resin carpet for the in doors. I was advised they could do it, however due to their experience with it over time and how filthy it gets, it’s not the best thing for homes.

Having received several quotes in respect of tarmacking of our drive, we decided to accept the one provided by Oliver Graham at Buldadrive.com. From start to finish the workmen were very punctual in the mornings, worked extremely hard to ensure the schedules were met and on time. A special mention at this stage must go to Mark who led the proceedings on site to a very high standard. The overall finish of the job is exceptional and as a result we are very pleased with the outcome. Very impressed with this company
Very impressed with this company, communication throughout the works was impressive and essential given that access was required for staff. The quality of preparation and finish was to a high standard. At the end, the site was pressure washed to ensure it was left clean and tidy.
